Wonderful little book for learning to care for your hands and nails using natural and organic products. No harsh chemicals or artificial ingredients. Most of the recommended formulas/recipes can be made right in the kitchen using ingredients most likely already on hand if you're a healthy eater and/or a naturalist.

I am currently studying reflexology and also nail care for hands and feet. I have really enjoyed this book and plan to have it handy as a reference book, in my work to follow. Unlike so many nail care books/videos that dwell on chemicals and artifical nails, gels etc....this book looks at ways of improving your nails appearance naturally. A friendly, info-packed reference guide that is a must for anyone concerned about the appearance of their nails.

This book was written in an easy, friendly style and the author had obviously done her homework. I had to laugh at her suggestion that everyone can find a little time every ady for their nails - that wonderful premise of every self-improvement guru.Despite persistant and devoted effort to her suggestions, I was disappointed to find that none of her offerings could help protect my nails against the rigors of real life. I wish other readers better luck.

I am just amazed how quickly I saw results of using the methods outlined in this book! I have never been successful with the common nail care methods and had given up that I would ever have nice-looking fingernails. No matter how much "nail hardener", "cuticle creams/oils", "soaking, filing, clipping" methods I used, my nails continued to be brittle, easily broke,split,and looked awful. I was very skeptical when I saw the word "naturally" in the title of this book, as that generally meant a lot of products I don't normally use. That thinking was soon dashed when I read that we will use simple things like castile or glycerin soap, a toothbush, petroleum jelly, lip balm, and inexpensive facial cream for basic hand and nail care - things that were already in my cabinet. I can honestly say - IT REALLY WORKS! I saw results with the first treatment and my nails and hands continue to improve. The 4-part regimen is so easy that I am sure I will continue using this method. I first picked this book up at our local library, but I am so impressed - I have purchased several copies to give as gifts! Thanks so much, Fran Manos, and I hope you will keep us updated on any of your new discoveries.

My work involves some filing and lots of typing so my nails have traditionally been horrible. I got this book, followed the advice, and my nails are now beautiful. I can't believe it. The diagrams are very useful and the author has loads of easy recipes for nail-care products. "Beeswax Nail Spackle" for instance. It's easy to make and really helps heal your nails. Buy this book, if you want to improve your nails.
